Cotality, formerly known as CoreLogic, is a specialty consumer reporting agency. Cotality is focused on the real estate ecosystem. Cotality provides data and analytics for property owners, lenders, insurers, and home service providers.
Formerly known as CoreLogic, the company rebranded in 2025 to Cotality. One product offered by Cotality is called Credco Credit Reports. The Credco Credit Report product is a consumer report purchased by lenders to evaluate “creditworthiness” for consumer mortgage loans, auto loans, and other credit applications. Lenders use the Credco Credit Report product to approve or deny loan applications, as well as to price loans.
How pervasive are the use of Credco Credit Reports in the real estate lending market? Cotality asserts that, “Credco Credit Reports are an industry staple, seamlessly integrated with over 60 top loan origination systems and point-of-sale platforms.”
Credco obtains personal data from each of the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) and “merges” that data into a single Credco consumer report file. Accordingly to Cotality, Credco Credit Reports are the, “most accepted credit report solution.” Cotality also explains that it is, “the initial inventor and patentee of the tri-merge credit report, which provides a comprehensive view of a borrower's credit history, combining information from all three credit bureaus into one report, offering lenders a complete picture of creditworthiness.”
Consumers are legally entitled to obtain their own “complete picture of creditworthiness” by formally requesting their Credco Credit Report file disclosure. Verifying your own Credco credit report ensures that your information is accurate and up-to-date.
